On 01 May 2026, the next course of the qualification program “Care for Integration” within the framework of the KompetenzCentrum Pflege will begin. The current courses are running successfully, and registration for the upcoming round is now open. The program offers a low-threshold entry into the care sector and is primarily aimed at people with a migration background who often face barriers in accessing the qualified labor market. Participation is open to individuals with a regular residence permit as well as those holding a Duldung or Gestattung status. The goal of the program is to create sustainable career opportunities in the care sector and to support long-term labor market integration. The first phase, a one-year KompetenzCentrum, prepares participants for training as a Pflegefachassistenz and includes job-related German language instruction with the target level B1 (entry possible from A2 without a certificate), preparation for the lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss, grade 9 – HSA 9 / ESA), as well as basic nursing skills and practical placements. Upon completion, participants receive the qualification as a Betreuungskraft. After successfully finishing the program, participants may continue with the one-year training as a Pflegefachassistenz or enter the workforce directly. Interested individuals can request further information and individual consultation.
