Deutsche Bahn is introducing last-minute tickets for long-distance travel on a trial basis. On Saturdays and Sundays, passengers can book trips on trains for the following week. The offer is initially valid for six months, with the option to extend.
Tickets are available starting at 6.99 euros. A Bahncard discount may also apply. Children up to age 14 travel for free.
DB is now using a flexible discount system to allocate available seats on trains just before departure.
