RWTH Aachen, in cooperation with the University of Wuppertal (BUW), is launching a new Bachelor of Education in Primary School Teaching starting in the winter semester 2025/26.
The program focuses on training qualified primary school teachers with an emphasis on science and technology education.

Duration: 6 Semester (3 Jahre)
Places available: 80 pro Jahr
Start date: Wintersemester 2025/26
Mode of study:full-time with practical training
Admission Requirements
General university entrance qualification (Abitur) or equivalent
German language proficiency at C1 level (e.g., DSH-II or equivalent certificate)
Limited admission (NC)
Application period: May 2 – July 15, 2025
Further Steps
Graduates can pursue a Master of Education in Primary School Teaching (planned for winter 2028/29), followed by an 18-month preparatory phase (Referendariat) and the Second State Examination.
